The last bits.

When someone looks at my images, I want them to see “me”. Business aside, my imagery needs to reflect my client but also a version of myself. 〰️
What do I want others to see in my work? I want them to see my qualities as a human. That I’m curious, detailed, over-caring, safe, and a neutral space. Maybe it shows that I prioritize my subjects.. that I stay up most nights worrying over my care for them. That I sleep most nights knowing that I did and continue to do my best. 〰️
Maybe it shows that I honor my clients and how their friends and family see them. That I don’t put them in a box. That I know their marriage looks differently than others. That their day is important to them so it’s important to me. 〰️
I need those elements to bleed into my work. For someone to look at an image of mine and think “now that’s a KMP image”. 〰️
I hope I continue to strive for that. To get there. To maybe crumple it all up, toss it, and start over again. To see my own images and say “now, that’s a KMP image”.

A Tacoma royal wedding. With that headpiece, that dress and that staircase? We made our own version of the real royal wedding.

If your first dance doesn’t include a “face grabbing, nose smooshing, no one else is in the room” kiss then take a hint from Madison and Phu.
PS. This was my second wedding in the last month in Tacoma! More Tacoma weddings, please. ❤️

Pause. Breathe. Why are you here? Why are we here? There is more. There is love and listening and calm and togetherness. That’s all. Always pause and breathe.

Summer’s coming and I always am completely tied up with work. This year, I took two days off a week in my calendar for as many weeks as I could in the summer. I want my chance to frolic on a beach in the sun too!
